In advance of the Shambhala Leadership Trainings taking place in 2013, all Centers and Groups are invited to gather with your leadership for three online addresses by the Sakyong. These online sessions are designed specifically for leaders within each of the Three Pillars -- Practice and Education, Government, and Protection. They will lead up to, but are not required for attendance at the trainings.
Sakyong Address to the Pillar of Practice & Education
DATE: Saturday, February 23 at 2 pm Atlantic (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
PREREQUISITE: The only requirement for attendance in this online session is to be an active leader with a related role in Practice and Education as follows: Acharyas, Shastris, all teachers, Meditation Instructors, Shambhala Guides, Chopons, and all others in the "Centre Admin Function" field of the SDB, which includes roles such as "Shambhala Resident Director" and "Nalanda Coordinator," etc.
NOTE: Participation with a Center or Group is recommended, however, individuals with special circumstances may also attend.
REGISTRATION FEE: Centers $125. Groups $75. Individuals $25.
HONORARIUM: In addition to the registration fee, there is a $10 per person honorarium for the Sakyong which can be submitted at this link. Centres and Groups can submit this after the honorariums have been collected.
RECORDINGS: A streaming video recording will be available soon after the end of the live broadcast. A downloadable .mp4 recording should be available the following day.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: A computer with a wired, high-speed internet connection.
