Have you ever been curious about meditation? This course provides introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life. With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice can become part of one's life, revealing our innate stability, strength and clarity.

This first course of the new Way of Shambhala curriculum, will provide an opportunity to learn and deepen one’s understanding of meditation, with practical suggestions for establishing a sitting practice in the midst of our speedy lives.

Each  class will allow for open discussion of the challenges that meditators face in their practice. The online class will include periods of guided meditation, talks, and discussion among the online participants.

Preferred online participation will be given to Shambhala centres and groups. Individuals are encouraged to attend with your centre or group. You are welcome to participate at home, by permission, if you are unable to attend with a group. Please use the comment field on the registration page to describe your situation.

SCHEDULE: Each course in the Way of Shambhala series, has five classes and will take place over a two week period. There will be two full Saturdays (or Sundays), each offering two talks ~ one at 2 PM and one at 7 PM Atlantic time. These weekend days will be two weeks apart and there will be one weeknight talk, at 8 PM Atlantic, in between.
