Sadhaka Program ~ October 2010
Restricted to Chakrasamvara and Six Dharmas practitioners

Date:
Location: Online
Teacher: Lodro Holm
Shambhala Online is offering monthly sadhaka programs, focusing on Vajrayogini, Chakrasamvara, Six Yogas of Naropa or Vajrakilaya.
THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: Yidam Mandala as arising from the Three Kayas, Contained and Manifested as the Three Mandalas. For both Cakrasamvara and 6 Dharmas practitioners as these practices are closely connected.
Restricted to Chakrasamvara and Six Dharmas practitioners The yidam mandalas arise from the ground of the primordial wisdom and bring that manifestation into relative experience. The Nyingma tradition trains in this through the three samadhis: the dharmakaya samadi of suchness, the all-illuminating samadhi, and the seed samadhi. The New Translation tradition trains through the modes of bringing death to the path of dharmakaya luminosity, and so forth. These approaches have many points of similarity. All in all there is mind essence practice, vajra body practice, and visualization and recitation Once the yidam mandala is manifested, we may wonder how to apply such esoteric wisdom in daily life. The Three Mandalas of Body Speech and Mind suggest one way one's practice might be expressed, contained, and protected. We will suggest a simple outer and inner interpretation of the Three Mandalas practice, starting with Manjushri's prajna, Avalokiteshvara's compassion, and Gesar's lungta.
