About Shambhala Online

Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche online from Halifax
Shambhala Online, funded in part by a grant from the Shambhala Trust, enables Shambhala to offer interactive video dharma teachings over the internet. Shambhala Online provides an opportunity for the participant to watch a talk that is being given at that time (real time, not a recording), and for the participant to engage in discussion with the teacher and the other participants who are also online. You can communicate by typing, or by voice if you have a microphone. If you have a camera, you will be seen by the teacher and the other participants
By removing geographic barriers, Shambhala Online aspires to increase the sense of connectedness of the participants to the Sakyong, the dharma (teachings) and the sangha (internationally and regionally).
Shambhala Online's inaugural broadcast was in November 2007. In our first twelves months, we offered more than a dozen programs.
To help you create an uplifted environment for receiving the teachings via webcast, we offer the following suggestions in Decorum Guidelines.
