The Development of Peace: Basic Teachings of the Buddha
The Buddha first taught the path of individual liberation. In the Four Noble Truths he taught the truth of suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering and the path to contentment and freedom. He taught the meditation practice of mindfulness and awareness. This program invites us into the basics of being a dharmic person — an exploration of egolessness, impermanence, gentleness and peace.
This course will include recorded talks, readings, contemplations, live meetings to practice together and discuss the teachings, and a discussion forum.
