The Student-Teacher Relationship Through the Three Yanas
with Acharya Moh Hardin
As Buddhism continues to take root in the West there have arisen many questions about the role and importance of the teacher. With the aspiration of clarifying some of the issues surrounding this topic, this three-class series will examine the student/teacher relationship as it manifests in each of the three vehicles of Hinayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana. This course is structured so that students may study and discuss the material together over the 6 weeks session. It will feature one live session on April 17th with the Acharya.

Class 1: Introduction, the Hinayana and the Elder
Class 2: Mahayana and the Spiritual Friend
Class 3: Vajrayana and the Vajra Master
Prerequisite: Having a daily meditation practice.
About the Teacher
Acharya Moh Hardin became a student of Chögyam Trungpa in 1972. He has been a practitioner, student, and teacher in our lineage for 47 years. In 2000, he was asked to serve as an Acharya by Sakyong Mipham.
For the past fifteen years, Moh has taught regularly in the South Central Region of the U.S. (Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma) and the Atlantic Region of Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland). Moh is happily married to Cynde Grieve and they live in Halifax.
