
While recognising that social justice is an integral part of liberalism, it is worth examining if the emerging critical social justice movement is at odds with the core principles of the Shambhala and Buddhist teachings.
About the Teacher
Shastri Mark Duggan first connected with the teachings of the Dorje Dradul in 1981 and attended seminary with the Varja Regent in 1988. He subsequently studied with Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamso Rinpoche and is now a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. He has three daughters and lives in Dublin, Ireland.
Having spent 25 years working as an IT professional, he has now retrained and is enjoying his new career as a life coach.
He has a particular interest in the intersection of culture and politics and how these might impact our Shambhala community in these challenging times.
ABOUT SUNDAY GATHERINGS
Please join us every Sunday for an online gathering of the Shambhala community worldwide. This online space is a place where we can practice meditation together, hear dharma teachings from a featured guest teacher, learn more about the activities of incredible people in our sangha, engage in discussion – and connect with one another, our community, and our hearts.
