How is it possible for people to discover their basic goodness in the insular, sometimes frightening world, of an American prison? Join Trime Persigner as she shares about her experiences as a prison chaplain and the insights about basic goodness that she has discovered over the past fourteen years in this role.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Trime Persinger has been a member of the Shambhala community since 1987. She is an authorized Shambhala Training Director and Meditation Instructor. She was active in the Dorje Kasung for many years, including being the Garsung at the 1999 Vajradhatu Seminary and the Drala Regional Commander from 2000 - 2003. Since 2007 Trime has been a chaplain at Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon, where she leads the Snake River Shambhala Meditation Group.
