During these support group sessions, there will be a short opening talk, a 15-minute meditation practice session (no previous mediation experience is necessary), og et åbent forum til at diskutere personlige erfaringer med alderdom, sygdom, død, grief, or bereavement. Sessions may include Tonglen for those who have died and, if time allows, a question and answer period.

Chaplain Alley’s dharma talk will include reading a verse or quote for individual or group contemplation. The list of books she will use is included below.

Om Læreren

Chaplain Alley Smith is an ordained Buddhist Minister of Religion(Chaplain) in the Shambhala Lineage. She also holds precepts in Zen Buddhism. Alley is an experienced health care, college/university, hospice and end of life care chaplain. Alley is a US military war veteran. During her career, Alley served with the military funeral honors Honor Guard. She specializes in spiritual care, mortuary affairs and as a funeral clergy. Alley has been a student of Shambhala Buddhism and Zen since 1999.
