Step by Step Instructions for Uploading Your Photo to Discussion Forums:
1) Login on the right sidebar of your course.
2) Enter your course Discussion Forums using the prominent link on the right sidebar of your course.
3) Click on your name/username at the top right in the black bar. A menu will drop down below it:
4) Hover over Profile. A menu will fly out to the left. Click the “Upload Profile Photo” option.
5) Click the “Choose File” button to select the file you want to upload.
6) Select the photo file on your hard drive.
7) After you’ve selected the correct file, you still need to click the “Upload Image” button to the right of your selection.
8) You might think you’ve done it. BUT YOU HAVE ONE MORE IMPORTANT STEP –> scroll down the page to see the “Crop image” interface. A small preview of your cropped photo will appear to the right. Resize the square on the left to select what you want. Note that the cropped image can only be square (not rectangular).
9) when you click “Crop Image” your new photo will be saved.
NOTE: Rarely, unusual forms of JPG or GIF image files won’t work properly. In this, try a different image, or have a friend with computer skills re-save your image using a photo editing software.
